I was genuinely surprised by the CINEPEER CX100. For such a small and portable light, the 100W output is very powerful. I tested it indoors, for portraits, bounced from walls and ceilings, and even outdoors in bright sunlight.
The adjustable color temperature from 2700K to 6500K was accurate in my tests, and I measured around 30,300 lux at approximately 50 cm. The built-in battery is also useful, giving about 30 minutes at full power and much longer at lower brightness levels.
I especially like the compact size, comfortable handheld design, quiet fan and included reflector. The metal tripod mounts are also a good detail.
My main complaints are the non-removable battery and the plastic reflector locking part, which should be handled carefully. Switching light on is not so easy every time :)
Overall, this is a very impressive portable light for photographers, videographers and content creators, especially considering the price.

It arrived quickly and well-packaged. It's a high-quality and portable product. I was able to charge it with a 20W USB-C charger, but I will purchase a 24V power supply (not included). It's a shame that I can't connect the CX100 via Bluetooth. Otherwise, great value for money due to its power and practicality.

The light comes well packaged and is securely protected with foam surrounds.Assembly of the light shade with the lighting unit is straight forward and it clicks easily into place.Charging is via a connection port on the bottom which is hidden beneath a rubber cover.The unit turns on via a two step process, useful to prevent accidental activation as the unit will get very hot when on.There is a small LCD display on the rear, can be quite hard to read. The light is controlled by two buttons near the display which control intensity and white balance. All done in real time so you can fine turn the effect to your preference.There is a 1/4" female thread on the bottom so it can placed on a tripod / monopod etc.I tried downloading the App to control the lighting more but got a warning on the phone about possible danger so at the moment have not tried this facility.In summary the light appears well made and powerful, it would have been nice to have a small padded carry bag but something else can easily be adapted for this.Recommended
