I have had a phone style gimbal for many years starting with the original DJI Osmo. After a second DJI model, I moved to Zyihun for my gimbals with the Smooth 4. I was impressed with the build quality of the Zyihun product over the DJI.Over a year ago I upgraded to the ZHIYUN Smooth 5S AI Pro gimbal which is a major improvement. It has features not possible in my old gimbals and has a smaller form factor.The two programs by Zhiyun had a steep learning curve for me. They were different than the previous ZY Play app utilized for the Smooth 4 gimbal. The more I utilized them, the more I liked them.Additionally I tested this gimbal with the Filmic Pro App which is made by a third party. Filmic Pro recognized this gimbal and worked well with it. However the more I used the included apps, the less I was using Filmic Pro, especially since the app is subscription based.I ended up not using the AI module as much as I thought I would. It is great for bloggers as you set the phone up to follow you and record with hand gestures. But I am generally recording someone else while holding and controlling the gimbal myself.The case has been a great improvement over my last one. It provides an easy way to carry and protect all the accessories and store them together. It is also nice that the arms work well with my large Otterbox case on my phone. And the battery capacity lasts a very long time.

This ZHIYUN Smooth 5S AI Smartphone Camera Gimbal Stabilizer does stabilize your video picture. This is the combo package with the stabilizer and the AI attachment and the tripod stand attachment -- meaning this is NOT the Pro package which means NO case & NO extra light attachment. Downloaded the ZY Cami app from the app store and was able to pair with my iPhone 13 Pro Max. Had to look up a you tube video to figure out how to set this up. The stabilizer by itself works to keep your video steady whenever you walk around with your smartphone camera. There is card included for redeeming a free 12 months of ZHIYUN PRIME membership -- which looks to primarily be video cloud storage & video editing tools -- but scanning the QR code on the card FAILED to open the website to redeem the card. Well not a big loss because I could just upload the videos to my google drive & use my own video editing apps. Anyways still learning how to play with the AI -- but was able to start & stop the video camera by doing the peace sign. NICE and FUN to use. Thanks AMAZON & ZHIYUN.

As this is my first gimbal I hesitate to review the gimal on other than physical quality. it is well made and the controls are logical. In my limied use i've found it to work as designed. The videos are stable and it tracks the subject well. As for full funcionality I need time to learn to use the functions through experience and trial and error.
